Dragon Boy is Blowing Smoke!

Thank you all for sending me more pet photos! I will post them over the next few days in the order in which I got them. I have some from Ramona, Skeeter (Roxanne), Alice, Jennifer (JDT) and Stacey.

Here sits Smokey in Dragon Boy's car. The fire-breathing comedienne says the following about his pet "Smokey":

"Attached is a picture of my precious pet. His name is Smokey. He is alot like me in numerous ways. We both like women, fast cars, avoiding the police, and we like to play with dynamite. He is 8 years old, and was born in Knoxville, TN. He has gone on numerous road trips with myself and Guinevere. He has been from Williamsburg, Virginia to Jackson, Mississippi to Shreveport, Louisiana to Pagosa Springs, Colorado. He has also traveled to Indianapolis, Indiana, and to Wichita, Kansas and almost anyplace you can imagine within that big circle. He has slept in castles and log homes, ridden horses and trains, been spelunking in caves all over the southeast, attended many hockey games, been to the Pink Palace, and like myself--he really likes to hang out at Hooters. The little girly girls there always have to give him a big ole hug. It really makes me jealous. He also has a tendency to try to steal parked police cars. I cannot seem to break him of this bad habit. And he also likes to ride on the top of the babe mobile on nice sunny days when the T-tops are out. This makes Guinevere nervous, but I tell her boys will be boys. I have many other pictures of Smokey on our wild adventures if any of the girls would like to see them. He is the best pet ever! He is so easy to maintain, he's not a picky eater, and he knows when to keep his mouth shut. Best of all--HE DOES NOT SHED! I just take him out every once in a while for a margarita and some hot wings, and put him on a strange women's chest, and he's a happy camper. But, then, aren't we all???"

Hmmmmm, I think Smokey is actually Dragon Boy's alter ego. What do you think Pet People? Are we jealous of Guinnevere or do we feel sorry for her? :)

Dragon, I love Smokey! How cool is he? I would make sure he is strapped to the car well when he is riding on top though, you don't want him to blow off. Hey what kind of car is the Babe mobile? I'm curious because I am into cars and and you mentioned T-tops. I have a sports car ( a 300ZX )with T-tops too and I love it! We ordered it new and now it's almost a classic. It's getting close to the kind of weather to take them off now so can't wait.

Sandy, I don't think we want to feel jealous of Guinenere with all she puts up with but we don't need to feel sorry for her either after all she did know what she was getting into when she allowed him the pleasure of becoming his wife! I do admire Guinevere for her ability to let a lot of things slide instead of upsetting her. I mean Dragon talking about all the women and all the rest of the male chauvinistic ( sp? )pig stuff. Of course we all do knkow that it is just talk! Drag on knows which side his bread is buttered on. Keep up the good work Guinevere, you're keeping him in line just fine.

Smokey is adorable! I would give him a big hug, hot wings or not! I take notice of the words, Dragon Enterprise on the dynamite. Now we see just where the old dragon gets his fire. Yep Smokey is defiantly Dragons alter ego. I am also wondering about the Babe mobile. Maybe a “Smokey and the Bandit” Trans Am??? Inquiring minds want to know….

The talk of Smokey going to castles and different places does not surprise me at all. My dad has a Pig (plush from the Boyds collection) named Farland. He has had many adventures from gambling in Las Vegas to his travels in and around Germany! That Pig has more frequent flyer miles then most people! His most recent trip was here to visit me in Georgia a couple of weeks ago. He totes his friend squeaky Spider and his true love Barbara Bear with him every where he goes. They come to my house to visit with Amiee Bear. Barbara use to get jealous but now they share Farland and are all good buddies. Once I came home to find the gang had been into the liquor cabinet. I will not tell you what I saw the gang doing on top of a cooler filled with beer and ice, it is way too X-rated for Posting. Farland has gotten my mom and dad many a conversation started with strangers from all over the world. Especially when it is game day and Farland is wearing his UT (Go Vols) get up… Now, his beach wear, complete with sunglasses and sandals are my favorites. Yes, Farland has a wardrobe of clothes! From his beach wear to pajamas! Farland had strict rules to NOT make an appearance at their grandsons wedding in Gatlinburg. But he did make it to the hotel lounge after the reception! Hey, he was not going to miss the Tennessee-Alabama Game on that Big Screen TV for nothing! Our entire family loves Farland and his friends Spider and Barbara… My parents and Dragon are not crazy; I see their love for animals going beyond the breathing animals to the Plush ones as well….

Hey gals, especially you Sandy--did you read the fine print on Smokey's stick of dynamite????

It says: Dragon Enterprize and Highly Explosive on the top. On the bottom it says: Not for use by MERE FEMALES or children!! I seem to recall Dragon's use of the term Mere Female in a "debate" with Sandy on another blog topic. He sure is full of himself, isn't he ladies???

I have to say, I almost laughed myself silly when I opened the blog today and saw that picture though. MAN! Tooooo funny. Thanks for a great laugh on a Monday morning.

But, Skeeter, if we get a picture of Mr. Donkey, we would want it to have Dragon it in too!!!

Dragon,Well here's what I have to ask now-- why do you have Dragon Interprises already printed? You wouldn't think of going ahead with anything without "Your Girls" now would you? I'm sure that never even crossed your mind but am curious about you getting that printed. I have to say it does look good in print doesn't it? Wouldn't you like to see that on kazillions of items raking in the dough? The "Mere Female" thing won't fly for the business though unless we do come up with a line for "Men only" and "Women only". Hhhhhmmmmm now that might be another thing to think about.

Skeeter, that is too good hearing about Farland the traveling Pig and his friends! All he need for his wardrobe now are some pink crocks, don't ya think? Then he and your Dad can be matching buds,ha. How cute that would be!
I loved hearing about thier adventures and the party on top of the cooler. Hope you videoed that in case you need it for blackmail in the future,ha. You Dad is quite a character, you can see how he is the life of any party. You got to be proud of a Dad like that and I know you are.

Hey, hey!! I just opened the blog and what do I see??? Daddy’s little boy! I have taught him well how to have fun. All you have to do is look cute and adorable and the little girly girls just can’t wait to come hug on you. Come on girls, he’s waiting…. Daisylouu, I have to warn you, Smokey likes to watch. So, we may have company in the hot tub. But, don’t worry, he doesn’t bite…..very hard.

Now Pam, I would never think of starting Dragon Enterprise without my girls. How would I ever get my cup of coffee with red hots in the morning without my girls? The Mere Female thing is what it is. I would never use it in the retail of Precious Pet Supplies. The all-wonderful females purchase more than 85% of pet stuff.

Skeeter, Smokey would love for you to give him a big hug. And Skeeter you were close on The Babe Mobile. Not a Trans Am, but a Camaro. Got to tell you about the Babe Mobile. It is an 85 Camaro with T-Tops. New paint job, and a new motor. About two years ago it had a rod knocking. The motor was about to go. I wanted to get rid of it or sell it for parts on e-bay. Guinevere basically convinced me not to get rid of it, saying it was a Babe Mobile. So, with Guinevere’s help, I put a new motor in it. Shortly after we finished and it was in its new, restored state, I stopped at a BP station for gas. There was a little girly girl at the counter. I went up to her to pay for the gas. She asked, “Is that your hot car out there?” I looked outside and the Babe Mobile was the only vehicle in the lot. I grinned from ear to ear. I told her yes that was my car. Little girly girl then told me, “Boy, I would really love to ride in a car like that.” Thanks Guinevere for convincing me not to get rid of the Babe Mobile. And someday, maybe, I’ll even let you drive it. Maybe. Someday.

Sandy, Smokey is not in the Babe Mobile in the picture. Smokey is actually sitting on a cannon in my front yard. That is his favorite place to play with his dynamite. At first, I thought you had complemented me calling me a fire-breathing comedienne. But, then I realized you were really insulting me, since a comedienne would be FEMALE! I am a comedian!! I have to keep telling Guinevere that I’m humorous, or that a joke was funny. She doesn’t have much of a sense of humor. Okay, I’m telling tales. I make her laugh, sometimes.

So Smokey likes to sit on the cannon while playing with his dynamite. Where does Dragon like to play with his dynamite? Okay, get your minds out of the gutter here... You burst my bubble with the Babe Mobile! I just knew it was a 78' Bandit ( I had a 78’ and two 79’ T-A’s) now I find out it is an 85'camaro. I hate to tell you this but Camaros stopped being Camaros after the 81' which is the year I drove up and down Madison and Riverside drive that crazy summer of 1981.... Oh well, I guess that strange body style you have might turn on some babes but not this one. Ha-ha…I would still like to give ole Smokey wookey a huggy wuggy….

hahaha....I am LMAO Dragon...strange womens chest??!!! Maybe my Beam and diet coke are getting the best of me but I just can't get rid of that mental image. Mental image...did I just write that? This post is too funny dragon. I'll bet its never a dull moment at your house.

I have been lurking for a while due to ongoing construction at my house....worker boys are no fun to have around. Having to supervise has left me no time to visit with my friends.

I have health issues with my old boxer Harley. Say a little prayer for her. I am taking her to the vet tomorrow and being a hypochondriac myself coupled with my past experience with cancer in boxers...I am worried needless to say.

And Dragon, thanks again for sharing your unique self with us. haha...still laughing

Stacy, I did notice the "mere" female comment. Dragon boy is merely a mere PUFF the magic dragon, without the magic--that's why he needs Smokey and a hot car. And of course, Guenivere to keep it all together.

He should have spelled dynamite Dyn-O-Mite, ala JJ Walker from that old 70s show, what was it? What's Happening?

Shannon, what is wrong with Harley and how old is she? I hope all goes well!

Dragon, you sure do need to thank Gunivere for convincing you to hang onto the Babe mobile! Sounds like a reall cool car! You and Fly Boy would get along great as he is so into cars. Last year he bought a 1967 Camaro and it's a beauty. It as all cars need a little something done to it now and then and Fly Boy loves working on it. It has a real pretty paint job although that has caused a bit of a riff between us a time or two due to one of my comments.I called it a Sperm Mobie, will elaborate on that later. Got a bad cold and need to ring my little bell for lunch since Fly Boy is here to take care of my every need.

Alice, I will keep Harley in my prayers for it not to be anything serious and for a quick recovery!

Skeeter, Skeeter, Skeeter….. Dragon Boy likes to play with his dynamite everywhere and anywhere. As long as Guinevere doesn’t catch me, that is. And, my mind lives in the gutter. It never comes out.

Yes, I can agree that I burst your bubble on the Babe Mobile. At one point, I had a 70 something Firebird that was similar to the “Smokey and the Bandit” car. But due to me getting it out one day in the snow—what was I thinking—it got stuck on the side of the road. It was two days before I could go back and get it, and by then it had been hit many times by other cars that ran off the road. It was not repairable. Skeeter and Pam, for me, if I could pick any Camaro that I wanted, I would have a ‘69, orange with white stripes. But, that’s out of my price range these days.

Shannon, I am glad I made you laugh. It makes me feel good to tickle a female’s funny bone. One day Guinevere will get a funny bone. Maybe.

Sandy, I really did used to be Puff, The Magic Dragon in my younger, wilder days. Who do you think Peter, Paul, and Mary wrote the song about??

Sandy, my spelling of dynamite is the way I wanted it to be. Again, you are confused. J.J. Walker was not on “What’s Happening”. He was on “Good Times”. Get with it, girl! This is why I have trouble debating you on things, you just don’t have a clue.

Pam, it sounds like Fly-Boy has the same problem as I do when he is out in his Babe Mobile. The little girly girls just love us, I mean they love our hot cars.

Pam, hope you get to feeling better. I see you are just like me when you don’t feel well. Just ring a bell and whatever fairy I need magically shows up with what I want. But, once I guess I rang it too many times, because the bell disappeared.

To my faithful girls, don’t be alarmed if I don’t post for a few days. Smokey and I are taking a trip to Mississippi. We will be taking Guinevere with us, but as on most of our adventures, she will probably find her way back.

Dragon, you are on a roll today! You got my funny bone too…. You will not believe me but my Camaro was orange! I kept it for 11 years. Sorry your Firebird was snowbound and destroyed. The Saint had plans to rebuild a 69 Firebird but we bought a new boat instead. His choice not mine as I would rather have the Babe Mobile and be the Babe but being his babe on the boat is also fun! I hope Guinevere, Smokey and you have a good trip to Mississippi. Tunica by any chance??? Don’t take any wooden nickels…

Pam, sorry to hear you are under the weather. Get well soon and yes it would be too funny to find those pink crocks in Farland pigs size. Dad would parade him all over Clarksville. Hey if any of yall see a crazy old man wearing Pink Crocks, that is my daddy! I sent him some and he loves them! Mom told me he bought 3 shirts to match the crocks… Funny… Get well soon, Spring is here!

Sandy it was "Good Times" with JJ walker... Rerun and Rodge were on "Whats Happening" Wow, I have not thought of those shows in years!

Shannon, how is Harley today? Hope much better, will say a prayer tonight...

Dragon, you do have a great sence of humor and keep us entrtained. Hope I'm able to keep up with you doing the same. I too am so sorry about your Camaro being destroyed, wht a shame! I get you on the cost too. Fly Boy would like to have a 55, 56, or 57 Chevy too but the ones in real good condition are too out there. We watch the car auctions sometimes and man what some of those cars go for, wow!
Thanks you for the well wishes too. I'm usually pretty healthy and only have one bout of real bad sinus crap a year but this year been hit sevral times. My allergies act up all year but worse at times. Hope you guys all stay well and enjoy Spring!
Dragon, you guys have a great time in Mississippi! If you do go to Tuica don't bet Gunivere! Don't try too hard to lose her either,
you need her. Anyway have a great time!Oh yea, on the show "Good Times", have you ever got that song stuck in your head and couldn't get it out? I have and after a few days it gets old.ha.

Good Morning, Ladies.

No, Pam and Skeeter, not quite to Tunica, but in the general area. A small town with some nice antique stores and what I hope is a wonderful Bed & Breakfast. Don't worry about me. I am the navigator, so Dragon Boy is the one that can't find his way home without me. But, we'll let him think he has the upper hand. Wink, wink.

I'll see if we can't get Smokey into some good trouble and come back with a new picture for you all. There isn't much that rascal hasn't already done, so I'll have to really break out my imagination on this one. He is such a handful when he gets out in public with his Daddy......

I bet Dragon is like all the rest of the guys, he'll drive a tank of gas out and still not ask for directions, right? What is that with men? At least we know you can get him where he needs to go, wink back at ya.
Have a great time!

Pam, real quick—I’m packing as I type. We probably will go to Tunica. I would bet Guinevere, but they’d probably charge me too much money for them to take her from me. I’m going to see if she’ll come off some money and play the roulette wheel. I did that once and did very, very well. The problem was that I went back the next day.

To all my adoring public, I will see you soon, back here on the blog. Hugs and kisses to all the humans that are sick. Get well. To all the pets that are sick. Get well. What is it with all this sickness going on? I’m a healthy camper right now. Ya’ll keep your nasty germs to yourself! Ha ha, just kidding. You’ll miss me while I’m gone. Nobody to keep Sandy in line or to chastise her when she does wrong.

Pam, the Saint is so bad when it comes to driving... If he misses his turn, he will not turn around and go back without a fight from me! He says, we will find another way and tells me to look at the map and see if I can find another way. That is about the time the arguing starts with me. I like to explore and if we are not on a timed schedule, this is not a problem but when we have to be somewhere and we are running late, then I go ballistic on him about not turning around. Are you ladies “allowed” to drive when your husband is in the car? I never drive anywhere unless the Saint has been drinking! I get him where ever we are going by being his co-pilot. I tell him when the lane is clear to cross, the exit is coming up, etc. I stay awake and assist him the entire trip. Then once we get where we are going, the Saint starts in at how tired he is from the long drive. HA, I usually tell him that I don’t want to hear it! The one time I drove a few hours, he slept and snored the entire time and was not one bit of help to me.. Ah, men….

Skeeter, I rarely let Hubby drive unless we are going into DC. I HATE DC DRIVING!! What is the purpose of a round-about anyways? They always confuse me, so he can drive. But the rest of the time I drive. I don't like his driving b/c he's slow. I want to get where we are going and it not take all day. He's happy to meander. Then he gets mad at the other drivers on the road b/c they speed past or cut him off. I tell him if he got it up to half speed, maybe they wouldn't do that. We live in the middle of everything here and it takes him twice as long as me to get anywhere. Plus he can't judge distance. He thinks a car is closer than they really are and will get all bent out of shape when he thinks they are doing something wrong and it's actually him. When he drives, we argue, When I drive we don't. Plus I have to be in control of the car I'm in or I get car sick. Maybe that's a control issue.

The Boss always drives. He thinks I drive too fast and I make him neverous and he is a pain in the butt if I'm driving. We are not good car partners. We barely get out of the driveway before an issue comes up! I think he drives to slow. And if I just lean over a bit to take a peek at the speedomieter, he KNOWS what I'm up to and he'll say, "I'm GOING the speed limit."

He doesn't always use his blinkers, especially when merging which drives me NUTS! I tell him someone MIGHT let him in IF HE HAD HIS BLINKERS ON.

Yep, we're both back seat drivers. Once we went to PA with Tramp. Had a camper with a shell and Tramp and I relaxed in the back while he drove. We were both MUCH HAPPIPER that way!

Man this is a good subject to give the men a hard time. Good thing Dragon is on vacation,ha. I too always let Fly Boy drive, well actually he doesn't give me a choice in the matter. H e does complain that I drive my sports car too fast ( ok maybe once in a while I do ) but when he hits about 95 in it he is just blowing the smoke out of the exsaust becasue it's been sitting in the garage with being driven for awhile. Yea good excuse.
Skeeter at least the Saint lets you navigate and listens to you. Most of the time when I say we should have gone one way or anothr Fly Boy says, wll it wouldn't have mattered which way I went according to you it would have been the wrong way! Your way is always right, blah, blah, blah. I mean he doesn't really say the blah thing but you get my drift. He also uses more four letter words repeatedly a lot too.
Adrienne, when we took a vacation and went o DC we came out of one of those round-abouts and was going the wrong way on a one way street. A policewoman on foot came up to the window and asked if we knew we were going the wrong way and Fly Boy said "I just figured that out". She replied, "You're not from around here are you?" ha, I swear she really asked that. She was very helpful in directing us where we wanted to go and we thought that was nice considering we were in such a busy area. I'm with you, what use are the round-abouts?

Try a round-about in England driving in the opposite lane!
Now that is a fun adventure… Talk about 4 lettered words!

We were in downtown DC on Christmas Eve with the Saints family. His dad has many (maybe 20 or more) years of experience of DC driving and he got turned around. I was happily in the back seat, sight seeing and keeping my mouth shut. No one could hear anything over mom or sisters screams anyway! Thank goodness there is hardly any traffic in downtown DC that time of year or we surely would have been rear-ended with his frequent stops in the middle of the street! Now Easter I am sure will be a different story, I think we will be taking the Metro into the city with that visit! We are going to see the Cherry Blossoms and visit the Zoo to see the new baby panda bear...

Skeeter, Stopping in the middle of the street is a normal thing here. We do it to make lane changes or if you don't know where you are going. I say Metro all the way. You should let me know when you'll be in town. We could get together for coffee (Not in DC) if you have the time.

Pam, you must have been in Dupont Circle. It's 5 oneway streets that meet there. Confuses the hell out of me everytime.

Adrienne, I would love to get together with you if it were only I and the Saint! But his parents will be with us and I am not sure they will want to share us with anyone because we don’t get to see them that often. :( This Easter trip really was not planned but we decided it would be a good way to get Turtle from them and spend Easter with them also. So (excuse the pun here) we are killing two birds with one stone. This will be a really quick trip with us driving 8-9 hours up and only staying two nights so we can get back to the cats… Maybe on our next VA visit we can get together as we will probably be staying longer and will have time to get away without the parents. Just not sure when that visit will be…

Update on Turtle…. We will pick him up at Easter and bring him back to GA with us until our planned trip to TN for a niece’s graduation in May. At which time we will be meeting up with his new mommy somewhere around Nashville on our way to Clarksville. We will be Fostering Turtle for a month. We know nothing about pet turtles so this will be a learning experience for us both. Thanks again Stacey for finding Turtle a new home!
