Zoe Ain't Ugly!

Here are some photos to show you what Zoe looks like AFTER a trip to the beauty salon. I think she's adorable and think Daisylou, aka, Zoe's aunt is a mean old witch. :)

Also, a photo I thought you'd like of a wooden piece I bought a few years ago from "The Vine" on Hwy. 48. The woman does amazing sculptures with a chainsaw, and when I saw this dog I immediately saw Zoe. At one time, Zoe got a haircut similar to the wooden dog, with more hair around the snout, but she looked like an old man, so now she gets it all off.

I also bought a wooden cat that I painted to look like Catfish, and a wooden squirrel, which sits under the tree in the front yard. Wooden Zoe sits on the deck, her face up against the windows looking in. When I first put it there, I'd walk by and think it was the real Zoe!

Kudos Pam! I don’t care what some people say, I think Zoe is adorable! I love the wooden dog and do see the resemblance to Zoe. We have two large rocks that an artist painted to look like cats. They are so real looking that they fool people when seeing them for the first time…

My parents made it to GA safely and of course Sheba met them at the door and Cheetah spent the afternoon and evening hours hiding under the bedcovers in our bed! Everyone has now gone to bed and Cheetah, Miss scardey cat, is out and going crazy with some Cat Nip that grandma brought to them. She is an addict and I think I may need to admit her into rehab! At least this will wear her out and she may not play her mess with mommy game all night long…

Peanut is much better. I've cut back on his Rymidil and he's still doing okay. I guess he must have just pulled a muscle. I was worried, because The Boss isn't one to hurry to the vet at the first sign of a problem, so I thought it must have been bad when we talked on the phone. He said, "I knew I'd hear it if you came home and saw him limping...." Which, as I said, makes me suspicious that maybe he slammed his leg in the door or something. LOL. Thank you for asking!

I think Zoe is beautiful. Her hair actually looks better than mine right now. Maybe I should start going to your groomer and get my hair cut. I paid way too much for whatever the girl did to my head that she called a haircut. I think I am just getting too old for what is "in". Give me my frumpy. same old boring hair cut anyday and I will be happy.

I love the wooden doggie. Is this business still there?

Yes, the business is still there, though they don't display as many sculptures as they used to. They had a beautifully carved baby dear curled up sleeping, cut from a huge piece of wood.

I tried to let my hair grow, but got sick of messing with it, so I just got it cut off SHORT. Much easier and I think when you get a but older, a short cut gives the illusion of a face lift. LOL.

Well Sandy here I have to disagree. Everyone seems to think as you get older it makes you look younger to have shorter hair. I have always been a person who looks better with longer hair. I have tried to do shorter styles and everyone, I mean everyone agrees I look better with more hair. Even when I am at my perfect weight it makes my face look rounder to ahve short hair. Now I'm no talking about down to my a-- hair like I had back in the days but at least shoulder lenght and it has to be styled right too. But- for me I can't go too short. I ahve been there and done that and all people say to me is grow it back!!!! When we were in Germany I got it cut to about a inch or less all over and I got the teasing of my life by all of Fly Boys friends. They called me Butch and made me cry and I had already been doing that since I first saw myself in the mirror after the cut. You don't know how much I wish I could wear a short cut and look good. But in your photo you look great with that cut so I know you look fabulous with your new cut! I bet Zoe looks fabulous with her new cut too! Don't listen to those mean old remarks from the others!

I must recant my earlier statement about Zoe being ugly. It is not that the dog is so ugly, it was that the previously posted picture did not do her justice. Right after posting my earlier comment about Zoe being ugly, I began to regret doing so. The more I thought about it, I realized it must have just been an unflattering pose. I, who have also had to deal with photographers in the recent past, have had a picture published that I was not happy with. So, I understand how this could have happened to poor Zoe. The photographer spent hours with different poses, different lighting, different expressions, etc. I'm sure they thought they picked the photo that best represented me, but I did not agree. With this new picture of Zoe, I can say that one of two things must be true. Either Zoe isn't that ugly after all, OR, Sandy took my advice and shaved her a** and taught her to walk backwards.

I had a relapse with my traumatic illness. I was feeling better, but wifey pooh's honey do list was too long for me. I tried to do too much and paid the price for it. I'm fixing to go get Mr Donkey and snuggle up on the couch and hope to get some rest.

Good night and farewell.

I know what Zoe looks like in person......and she's ugly. Is a sweet little girl, just odd looking.

It's nice to know that in spite of saying how unatractive Zoe is that her aunt daisylouu loves her.

At least our tough fire breather admits he could be wrong ( a definite sign of strength )and shows his softer side with his cuddly wuddly donkey. Hope you feel better soon Dragon!

P.S. Dragon, if you're a good boy maybe Guinevere will give you a bloomer dropper, the kind of your choice.

It's funny, because everyone who meets Zoe in person thinks she is the cutest of all my dogs, a "Teddy Bear" when she has longer hair and just plain cute with the cut. Sis is the ONLY one who thinks Zoe is ugly and has a big "box head" as she says.

Now, when Zoe got her hair cut in the other style, with it longer around the mouth like a Schnauzer(and the wooden zoe), she was a bit ugly, as it made her look like an old man.

What Daisy calls odd, I call UNIQUE. What is great about mutts is that they are one-of-a-kind in their looks, why they are my favorite!
