Latest News About Tomorrow's Adventure

Stacey and I will be at the Ice House probably around 3:30 ish to 4:00. Pam too said below it would be after 3 for her. So for those of you who are going there earlier, we'll be there eventually! Stacey is coming later because she'll be busy all morning at the VFW pancake breakfast and needs a nap before going out for the evening. So much for the tough Marine. Ha. I too am coming later since I'll be out late, and I can't hang like I used to, so I can't start too early or I'll be asleep by 8!

Some sad news: Poor Brett had to go to the hospital for a blocked intestine. I got an email from Jeremy. He is under observation for now, so hopefully he won't need any kind of surgery. So unfortunately, Brett and Jeremy won't make it tomorrow. I know! I am disappointed too, but I assured them that we will be having regular Pet People gatherings and we'll have to get together with them soon! Wish him well! I already miss him on the blog!

See you all tomorrow.

Hello,
I'm about to fall asleep here but since I just got home from seeing "The Full Monty" I had to let you all know what fun it was. Sorry all of you couldn't be there but for those of us who were it was worth it.
When the guys pulled out thier red thongs, we couldn't believe it. I thought Dragon was going to fall off his chair. Instead he jumped up,pulled his out of his pocket and yelled that's my theme. When the actors saw he had the red thong they said come on up so he did. People I have to say after tonight's performance we can all be very proud of our Dragon!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, MAN I wish I would have been there to see THAT! I'm so glad you all had a good time... wish I could have stayed. But, I have to be a mommy first these days. My days of freedom will come again! :)

For those of you who wondered, the Humane Society fundraiser brought in just under $1,100 this evening -about double than what I expected. Thanks to all of you who stopped in. :)

Of course he put it on! He not only put it on but he became part of the show. He did us wenches proud! Oh Daislouu you, what you and everybody else missed, right Sandy, Stacey? It was a trip!
Only one thing Dragon, at dinner when you told Fly Boy how you understand how he hasn't been able to get a word in edgewise? In the words of a famous waitress "Kiss my grits"! But you did dance as well as the other guys in "The Full Monty".

Oh yea, Skeeter, we weren't allowed to take any photos in the theater, sorry you'll have to wait to catch the live version. That's better anyway.

Pam, Pam. It was a most enjoyable evening. It was one of those classic, once in a lifetime moments, that can never be duplicated. It began with a wonderful dinner, with lively conversation at the Blackhorse. At least there was lively conversation between Pam and Sandy. I’m not quite sure how you two manage to breathe when you never stop talking. Flyboy, the Boss, and I just make sure that we nod our heads at the appropriate moments so that it looks like we are paying attention. Of course, with Sandy and Pam talking so nonstop with each other, I did get the chance to talk with Flyboy and discovered that he is really a hoot.

I was getting a little concerned with my dear long lost sister, Pam and the amount of beer she was drinking at dinner. I knew she was going to the play after dinner, and I was afraid she would lose control and start grabbing at the actors and trying to put dollar bills into their thongs. As I feared, it did get ugly, and one of Clarksville’s finest had to come over and put Pam back into her seat. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the officer that was actually in the play. She would have liked that a lot.

And yes, Pam was right. I nearly fell out in the floor when the actors pulled out those red thongs. But, Pam has a tendency to get confused every once in a while. She says I reached into my pocket and pulled out my red thong. She was mistaken. I was wearing mine. I’m not going to say anything else on this subject. All I can say is—you should have been there.

It was one of those moments:
Dinner at the Blackhorse: $29.95
Drinks: $19.00
Roxy ticket to the Full Monty $15.00
Dragon in his red thong: PRICELESS

A note to my long lost sister Pam. After my stint on the stage and after the show, I was talking with some cast members. I don’t know how to put this to you Pam, but Daddy was a real world traveler. We seem to have another brother. You might want to sit down for this one. It was the actor that played Horse in the show.

Dragon, we have a black brother!!!! How cool is that? I knew Daddy never was a racist and got around but he got around more than I ever dreamed. So glad you found out about that but wish we could have all grown up together. Guess we will have some very interesting family reunions now!
But, Sandy and I did not talk THAT much and I notice you didn't mention Stacey talking too much and she was joining in all we said. Are you excusing her for some reason?
I'm going to keep it to myself for now but I will tell you that Gunievere revealed a little something to me last night that I am saving for another time. Watch your step Dragon!
Oh yes everyone, we did get to see Gunievere last night, and she is a real gem. Dragon is a lucky man.

Dragon is fibbing about me getting put back into my seat by a cop. He was just wishing I'd get into trouble since I was (along with Sandy, and Stacey ) cheering more for Horse than him. Of course I didn't know at the time Horse was my brother, still that dude had it all going on! I'm proud he's a family member!

P.S. Dragon, one more thing, I souldn't even tell you this after you bad mouthed me but I am such a forgiving person here goes--- FLy Boy says you are a cool dude and he is happy to ahve you for a brother-in-law. Now is the two of you get together and say things about me that I don't approve, I'll just have to kick both your as-es. And I only had two beers at dinner, geesh. Ok so I had two before at the Humane Society bash but I wasn't driving! And I only had two before I got there and two more before I went o bed, that is like two beers to most people, give me a break brother.

Oh gee, it sounds like I really did miss a good one with y'all...
Boo hoo hoo...
Pam, I would have been right along beside you yelling with ya honey. Nothing more exciting then seeing a man that knows how to shake his Monty! I see you like to have your beers in numbers of two. The Saint always says he only has two beers. The first one and the last one….

Oh and I did not get to meet Guinevere! Darn, I would have enjoyed having a drink with her and getting the real scoop on her Mighty Dragon boy… I will try to be at the next hoopla and have the Saint with me so he can chat it up with Fly Boy, The Boss and Dragon and what ever other hubby needs to have some quality chat time without us gagglers…. Dragon, I bet you were a pure sight on stage! Not sure what that sight was but I bet Guinevere sure did enjoy it! And the Red Thong saga continues to unfold….

Stacey and Sandy have not had anything to say today. Hummmm, Wonder just how long their night-cap went on....???...

Boy I miss all the fun. I hope it's not too cold in Tennessee in November when I visit....is that still thong weather dragon?

daisylouu, Cold weather does not effect when I wear or don't wear my red thong. It just needs to be warm inside or a bright sun shiny day outside.

The missing Stacey and Sandy. Well, maybe I was the one that was on call for bail out duty and just didn't realize it. I never turned my cell phone on today. Oh, that's right. I offered to bail them out if they gave me their credit card numbers, but they never did. I think it made them nervous when I wanted to know the spending limit. So, I guess they were on their own. Hmmmm......

Skeeter, around 3-ish, I think. And Dragon, no bail money was necessary. I behaved! I decided to allow Sandy to let her hair down since she had such a stressful vacation. So, I got to be the responsible adult. Scary, huh????

Shannon, don't worry we'll have many more chances for Dragon to put on a show with his red thong. We did miss you guys though.
Sandy, have you heard anything from Brett? Just really concerned about him and how he is feeling. Sure hope it's one of those no news is good news and that he is better. Hope he didn't have to have surgery but with a intestinal block it's very likely he did. Either way sure would like to hear he is ok.

Hey Shannon, That’s great you saw my family at the ball field! Did you meet my mom and dad too? Was my dad wearing his pink crocs? Was my sweet niece still sporting a black eye? She got it pretty bad in the face with the ball. And they call it a soft ball, ha, it was a hard ball that hit my baby... she is a tough cookie because it never slowed her down. Speaking of cookies, did you have to buy cookie dough from the girls? I have two tubs waiting for me on my next TN trip…

Stacey, with no bail money involved, it must not have been that great of a time that I missed... Ha-ha...

Now Dragon you know if Stacey or Sandy needed you, that you would have been there for them! We animal people have to stick together!

*sigh* I am having a flare-up of my ulcerative colitis and everything hurts. I have inflammation in my left eye that I have to keep dilated and it makes seeing hurt. I also have a huge lesion on my leg that hurts to walk on. So, I took a nap to get rested up and slept right through it. Hubby says he didn't have the heart to wake me because the chronic pain makes night sleeping difficult and I am always tired.

All of these syptoms are a secondary complication of the ulcerative colitis, inflammation of the large intestine. It cause inflammation to manifest in many other parts of the body. There is no cure for the secondary symptoms. Even if I had my colon removed, I would still have the roaming inflammation. So, I pretty much take it easy and do what I can. That means I miss out on lots of outings. I am sorry. I was really looking forward to it as well. Some days are better than others and that day was kinda bad. Maybe next time!

Prearchart, I hope you will more good days than bad days. I feel your pain, with the hurting. I have been redoing the floor in the house and I have been hurting all over. Now I’m starting to wonder if I will ever get though.

Skeeter, ya, your right, if Stacey or Sandy needed me, I would be there for them. Depending on the circumstance, I would laugh my butt off fist, then help.

Alice, I too am so sorry for your pains. Like Dragon, I have been overdoing it a bit by working in the yard thus the body aches. But that pain is brought on by us unlike your pains. I do hope you feel better soon and yes, there will be more Pet People get together’s on down the road. I am shooting for something around 4th of July if I can make it to Clarksville so get well soon! I am hoping that Brett is also feeling better with his intestinal problems... I miss his funny witty words....

Now Dragon, I did not say I would not laugh at Sandy and Stacey also if they called for a bail out… Ha-ha….
