Pet People Party Planning!

Can you believe it's only a little over a week before Daisy Duke and Adrienne arrive in town for our gathering!!

Daisy is coming Wednesday and Adrienne Thursday night. As you may know, Adrienne will be staying at the Riverview Inn, where Daisy and I also will be staying Friday night for our night on the town.

So, we need to decide on an agenda! We will come to town in the afternoon Friday so we can show Adrienne around a bit. Then, if I am remembering this correctly, we will all meet for dinner somewhere. I still like the thought of schnitzel at the VFW, but we don't' have to go there. I like the cheap drinks there and the fact there are no squalling kids! Then Pam graciously invited us to her house for games and karaoke (I don't know how to spell that word and ain't looking it up). Skeeter must remember to bring the games she had last time. We had a hoot playing those games.

Since Pam lives in the Sango area, we can instead meet at the Mexican place by Wal-Mart first, then go to her house. What do you think? Of course, I will leave my car at the Riverview and will need someone to pick us up and bring us back after game time. I'm thinking the Dragon might be willing to do this for us, as long as Daisy sits in the front with him! Also, I thought those of us still awake can go to a club or two downtown before we go back to the hotel to crash.

As far as Saturday. I know Stacey has her Veterans Parade, but someone has to show Adrienne around. She said she wanted to go to Nashville. I don't hardly ever go to Nashville, so I wouldn't be a good tour guide there. Personally, I think there's enough to see and do around here, but you all can do what you like!

While Daisy is here I plan on having her help me introduce Tweety to Tarzan and Catfish inside of the fence. Yes, The Boss has weakened a bit. I am worried about this, as Tarzan is always meowing at her when he sees her. However, his meows have softened as he sees her more regularly. I sit with Tweety on the other side of the fence and pet her, then let Tarzan sniff my hand. Catfish is fine with her, but Tarzan has this stare going on. More on that later. My worries are this: Catfish and Tarzan are so close, I worry what a third wheel will do to that dynamic. Also, neither of them scratches on anything inside other than their carpeted cat tree. What if Tweety shreds everything? And we are not there as much to supervise, as they live in the apartment. While Daisy is here we can both stay over there to keep an eye out.

So, let's discuss plans for Nov. 9 and 10! And any Pet People readers who don't post who want to join us at whatever restaurant we start out at, you are more than welcome! The more the merrier.

Pictures above are of Brett and Jeremy's Hines and Lucy. I took the photos before the Humane Society dance. Hines is really coming along. He barked just a bit when I first arrived, but quieted down quickly. All their dogs love the new fenced-in yard!

Ahhhhh my little Bat Mite (check out the ears)and the Lucy Lou in her favorite chair. Aren't they just lovely. We had Elaine, Director of the Humane Society, over Friday night to give us some tips on handling Hines and his new hang up of "marking" everything in site--including Lucy! She gave us some really great excersises to us with not only him, but with Lucy and Charlie too. We had a wierd weekend as we were using these new ideas and the dogs were a bit thrown off. All of you know they are spoiled rotten, and Lucy did not take kindly to being introduced to the new discipline. It was wired because they spent alot of time in their houses this weekend. Not locked in, just lying in there, contemplating rebellion.LOL. It will take TIME, but we really need to get more structure under them so that their "wild" days will be left behind. I am SO GRATEFUL to Elaine for her help. She showed us stuff that was basic, but we had never approached, and also dispelled some of the stuff I had read about training dogs. She brought Pearl a present--some nifty cat nip--Pearl has been STONED all weekend LOL.
Speaking of stoned--i'm with you on the cheap part of the weekend when Adrienne and Daisy are here. Thnings are getting tight as we move towards xmas. Whatever you guys decide, we'll follow.

The Pros and Cons…

The Mexican place is just up the road from Pam and Flyboy. You can order what ever Mexican food you like. But we would need an accurate head count for them to set up a table. It would be noisy with a crowd of people so the chit chat would be a bit chaotic. The food would not all arrive at the same time so some might be eating while others not. There is not a smoking issue for Pam here as it falls under TN rule...

The VFW is a bit further down the road from their house. Menu is Schnitzel, potato salad, beans, sauerkraut, bratwurst, rolls and drink only. But you dont need to reserve a table as long as someone arrives early enough to get the long table by the stage we were at the last time. The chit chat would be nice as the last time. There will be no waiting to eat as you help yourself to the food once it is ready. And, yes, the price is right for drinks and “All You Can Eat” schnitzel. I lived in Germany for 6 years and this is good schnitzel!! I am not sure about the No Smoking rule at the VFW though as it is a Private Club… While there, you can drop off Old USA Flags for proper disposing…

I just thought I would point out what I consider the pros and cons. Y’all hash over the above, decide the time and place. Either way, I don’t care, we will be there!

I am bringing a bunch of Karaoke DVD’s and CDG’s with a great mix of Music. So there should be something for everyone. The only rule should be, anyone that can actually sing, should not so the rest of us (ME) don’t feel stupid… But then again, I entered a contest at the Fur Ball under a category I thought was different and felt like a total fool then ended up with my picture in the paper! Argggg… Anyway, I will have Christmas music too B so we can pretend to be Andy Williams’s family at some point if you like… We aim to please ya know… I will also have the games so we can see Jeremy’s Corn Crotch or Corn Teeth again….. Counting the days…..

Well, I vote for the VFW! Daisy and I will be in town early to meet up with Adrienne, so anyone can come by our hotel room or meet us for lunch downtown. And the VFW isn't that much farther that the Mexican place, as most of us are coming from areas outside of Sango anyway! Daisy likes schnitzel and was looking forard to it. I like the way the tables are, plenty of room for everyone and a good atmosphere to talk.

Oh Brett, I can't wait to hear more about Elaine's advice. Everyone thinks of her as "cat woman" as all her pets are cats (and she has a lot), but she has lots of training in dog behavior and knows a lot about dogs. Listen to her and watch The Dog Whisperer!

The professor's job has changed (within the company) and so have his hours. I am not sure what they are right now. I DO know that he has Nov 10 off as I want to do the Belk's shopping thing. I think he works till midnight most days. When he gets home he does his teaching work and the we play World of Warcraft till about 3 am. I'll have to decide if I want him to come home to and wifeless house on Friday night. Friday night is my regular online game thing and my computer is the server that hosts the game so I couldn't go anywhere untill after 8:30 pm at the earliest. Probably after 9 pm as I have to make dinner for Max and Charlie after my game. It doen't make too much sense to go out after that and then be home by midnight so, I think the Friday night thing is out for me. Anyway, I know you will all have fun. I am not good with crowds anyway. If anyone noticed I spent most of the time at the bidding tables and outside at the Fur Ball. It was just too crowded for me. I think I have a mild case of crowd-itis. I don't know the phobia name... I just know I am very uncomfortable in large groups. You won't see me shopping on the day after Turkey Day... just too mny people.

Just an FYI to add to Skeeter's VFW comments, the VFW is NOT smoke free. It is exempt from the law change as it is a "private club". I was there this Friday for schnitzel and if you stayed outside the bar area, it wasn't very smoky. I am happy either way, as I love the peach margaritas at Don Pancho and I love the cheap Beam and Cokes at the VFW. So.... I vote for whatever the majority rules.

Sandy, As much as I would love to do Nashville, the Foreman would ban me from visiting ever again if I went someplace really cool and he didn't get to go. I'm up for anything.

Sandy, Sandy, Sandy….how easily you get confused. I will do my best to help you out. It is DaisyLouu who is coming to town, but Daisy Dukes are the shorts she will be wearing for her Dragon. And yes, by all means, Adrienne shall be arriving in town. I am eagerly anticipating the event. As far as where we will meet for dinner, you girls just figure it out. Dragon doesn’t need to be concerned with such trivial details such as that. By the way, what is this karaoke stuff??? It is bad enough I have to listen to wifey poo squalling all the time, I sure don’t want to hear a bunch of drunks singing.

Very rarely do I get up on my soapbox. But, Sandy, I must know, what do you mean by Stacey’s Veterans Parade? Is this not an event to honor ALL veterans? Should it not be attended by all of Clarksville to pay tribute to all of our veterans? Sandy, I thought you were a veteran also. Or does the Air Force not count?? Even though I am just a mere civilian, I would hope that all the Pet People would plan to be on a street corner in the brisk fall air on November 10th to support our very own Stacey and all our other veterans, including the Boss, the Saint, Flyboy, You Should, Jeremy, our gardening Tina, and my brother John. I believe Alice’s dad is a veteran. Should we not honor him?? Please, if I am wrong on this, let me know. Tell us Sandy, what more important things should you and Adrienne be doing on Saturday than saluting our veterans?? Please, inquiring minds want to know.

Hmmm….in all our conversations about Dragon Enterprises, I don’t recall anything about a limousine service. Though I would be most happy in Driving Miss Daisy, I don’t think I can handle the other half of the Dynamic Duo. I don’t think I can take you both on that one night. That may be a topic of discussion later on. Besides, I have only room for ONE babe in my babe mobile. Oh, speaking of, can anyone give wifey poo a ride that night?? Please, please, please!!!! She didn’t fall for the big sale in Knoxville routine. But, I am still working on other angles.

And Sandy, with Daisylouu in town, now may be the right time to find out if the Boss will go for a threesome!!

Adrienne, I feel the same way about the singing. If it gets too bad, we’ll just take off and get a bottle of tequila and get nekkid on the lake. The only problem with that is everyone else will want to go too! Well, Charlie, that could be really interesting, couldn’t it?? Let’s visualize all the Pet People, handcuffed and nekkid, hauled off to the pokey on a Friday night. At least no animals would be harmed in the making of this Pet People gathering.

Here's an idea: anyone available can meet for LUNCH at the Mexican place Friday. Adrienne,Daisy and I are a definate, maybe Stacy can take her lunch break and come,Pam, Alice and whomever.

At night, Schnitzel at the VFW. Like you said, Stacey, the smoke is only by the bar and we all went last time and it wasn't bad. We'll be there early any way. It's a much better place to talk to everyone and get up and move around. We won't be there that long any way, just to eat and have a few drinks. Now, I love a nice restaurant with good atmosphere, but I want a place that is easy to talk, not crowed and has NO KIDS whining next to me! I'd rather hang with old people! LOL.

Dragon, as to the parade. Yes, I am a proud veteran of 8 years of service. But I don't believe I can get up early enough to go after a wild night of carousing. I work nights and am on a up late, sleep later schedule. But I will be there in spirit. If it comes by the Riverview I might roll out of bed to wave. :)

Hey Sandy, Sounds like a plan is falling into place! We will try to meet up with yall at the Mexican place for lunch. So get two extra chairs for us and I will let you know if we have to pass up… The same one we went to before being Don Poncho by the Wal-Mart in Sango or another one??? Would be funny if we showed up at the wrong one and got pi$$ed while waiting for yall and then found out you were sipping margaritas elsewhere! LOL…

Are you going to take Adrienne to the Bell Witch area??? I went there once when a teenager and it was something to remember! That was back in the day where a bottle of something good would get the cave owner to tour you through the cave. Doubt they do that today…

Dragon Enterprises Limo services… Driving Miss Daisy… You make me laugh so much Dragon that maybe I should put you on some sort of Clown payroll. Sheba gets to jump up on the sink and indulge in fresh water from the faucet for her entertaining us. What does it take for a Dragon’s pay??? Red hots in hot chocolate by a backyard campfire with marshmallows? I can provide that for you…. You are too funny…..

I was home one other time during the Veterans parade and watched it at the downtown square so I am sure they will pass by the hotel. Not sure you will be on the correct side to view it though….

Don’t worry Adrienne, no one has to sing karaoke but those that wish to make fools of themselves like me! I will have the games I had before with me and they are a hoot! We had a blast with those…. Hey, maybe the hubbys will partake this time but y’all remember the Saint is the Umpire!

Alice, sorry you may not make it. I understand yourCrowd issues though. I am finding that the older I get the less I like crowds but the Pet People crowd is a different crowd so keep that in mind....

I think the Mexican place on Madison would be best for lunch.

Alice, maybe you can make lunch since you can't make the night adventure?

If we go around 1, I don't think it would be that crowded. And I can have only ONE drink at lunch, because we have to hang the whole night!

I only sang karaoke ONCE and I was the most horrible singer EVER, and I did it with another woman. It was Joan Jett's "I love rock and roll" and now every time I hear that song I cringe! But I know I can make everyone either laugh their butts off or have them become extremely embarrassed for me I'm that bad!

I guess I'll send out an e-mail before the big day on the basic plan.

I know nothing about The Bell Witch stuff, other than its in Adams. I was thinking more along the lines of Dunbar Cave, RiverWalk, downtown browsing, Beachaven Winery, museum and so on.

I could probably do Cancun for lunch, but it would have to be at 11:00, not 1:00. That is the day before the parade, so we all will be out of the office all afternoon getting our parade platform and other stuff finished and prepped. We are scheduled out for that at noon. Cancun is right close to the office, so I could do that. 1:00 would be late for lunch anyway, because if you do schniztel for dinner, they only do that from 5-6:30 pm.

Skeeter, they do cave tours at the Bell Witch. You can get info online. We did it one year for Halloween, it was pretty cool. They only do day tours normally. They did night ones for Halloween though. Believe me, that is BIG business now. It's changed alot since you were there.

Nope, can't make it. We usually don't even wake up until 11am and then I make breakfast/lunch for the professor and pack his lunch/dinner. There's just too much going on in the hours before he finally leaves the house for work.

ok people, I am up for the VFW for dinner since it will only be for dinner then back to our house for the rest of the party. It wasn't too terrible last time although any smoke bothers me. I can deal with it long enough since the snitzel there is good. Now as for lunch please not Cancun's!!!!!!!!!! Please please please let's go to Don Poncho's instead!!!!!!!!!!! Don Poncho's is my second favorite place next to Poncho Villa and we're getting one of those soon, just down the road at the new shopping center Willow Oaks! Yeaaaa! Stacey Don Poncho's is not that much farther down from where you work so please Don Ponco's, for me please?

Alice, if you change your mind about coming to join us on Friday, the party will only be just starting by 8:30 so come on over!

Skeeter, if you would like to put me on the payroll, I have no problem what so ever with that. I think we should call it an entertainment payroll instead. Clowning is not very Dragon like behavior. You know where I live, so can I expect weekly checks in the mail, or would you prefer for us to set up a direct deposit? Red Hots go in the coffee, not hot chocolate. Campfires are not for marshmallows, but for a Watermelon Roast. Hubbies (as you put it) do like to partake in fun and games. But, last time there were no games, the dog was yelping, and Sandy came in the room and started yapping and no one could get a word in edgewise. My fun meter was overloaded, so I had to leave.

Wifey-pooh and myself took a tour of the Bell Witch Cave a while back in the summer time. We were the only ones on the tour and it was very interesting. There is a spot in the cave where there was a hole in the rocks. I looked in there and something was glowing. I pointed the camera into the hole in the rocks to take a picture. I pressed the shutter release and nothing happened. I did this four different times to get the same results. I then took the camera and was looking at it to see what was wrong. I had the camera right up in my face. I pressed the shutter release, and I got an eyeball full of the flash. Of course I cut loose with some Colorful Metaphors. The tour guide (the owner) asked what the problem was so I told her the story of the camera. The guide said that some people, but not all, can see a glowing in the hole of the rock. And also quite often cameras don’t work there. (Twilight theme music here) And what’s really good is you can take home some rocks from inside the cave. Most places that is a definite no no. This is a private cave and they don’t mind if you take some rocks with you. But in the end, all the rocks end up back at the cave. (Twilight theme music here) But, that is a story for another time.

Adrienne, WHAT? I don’t recall saying anything about nekkid karaoke. But, if that is what you have your heart set on, I will be happy to …….listen. And don’t worry about the jail thing, there is bail money!

Girls, girls, girls….just work out the minor details amongst yourselves about the where and when for dinner. Once a decision is made, one of you can notify me, just like my secretary does at work. I cannot concern myself with these trivial details. As I am now on the payroll, I must keep two women happy. At least I can console myself that Skeeter will pay me.

Adrienne, are you opposed to Mexican food? Do you want to go elswhere?

If we do Mexican, can Stacey make it up to Don Ponchos on her lunch break? If so, we can do 11 lunch so she can come. If Mexican or Don Poncho's is out, how about the Blackhorse for lunch?

Adrienne, I will check in the hotel Thurday (since I got it for thur, fri and sat nights) and give your name so they'll give you a key when you arrive. Then we'll come get you Friday for lunch and whatever else until we go back to get ready for the evening.

As to my singing, as The Boss how I can make Peanut whine. He says I'm hurting his ears!

Sandy, I have that song! I will be sure to bring it so we can all get an ear full! LOL. That is the singing I am looking for. No American Idol sign-ups please... Ha, Pam can play the drums and was in a band so I bet she can sing. But since she is hosting the party at her house, we can let her have an Idol Audition!

Dragon Dragon, Oh dear Dragon.... You are not seeing the picture! Put on your glasses you scaly one. (Oh that reminds me, at what point and time would you like to see your face sporting those glasses on the Blog??? You know I aim to please and not offend so must I ask permission to post that picture out of respect to my Dragon?? I took your comments about not capturing the Dragon while wearing is glasses at the last Pet People get together as a challenge. And it did not take me long to concur your lovely magnified image! Never give Skeeter a simple challenge such as a snap shot. She is always ready to open the shutter). Anyway, back to where we were… The pay WILL be Red-hot’s, Hot Chocolate, marshmallows and a campfire. No green backs and what is this about watermelons in the fire? I have heard of flinging them with a catapult but we all know you prefer cats for that past time. Do tell about fiery watermelons.....

Adrienne, surely you are saying crappy Mexican as in Bad Mexican verses Good Mexican food. I have had some bad Mexican food at times but luckily here in our area, we have some good Mexican food! I have been to both Cancun’s and Don Poncho and I like them both. One restaurant is just very new compared to the other one… But we will go where ever yall chose for lunch….

I have to say that I have only had one good meal at Cancuns and that was just so so. I'm afraid I ahve left there disapointed so many times that is why I'd rather go elsewhere. Don Poncho's is not very far from Cancuns so shouldn't be any more time to get to for Stacey. But Adrienne,if you don't like Mexican at all I agree with Sandy that The Black Horse would be a good place too or there is the China Buffet next to Don Poncho's. There is also Ruby Tuesdays right there too or some other places down town but I haven't tried the down town ones. Also Adrienne it it's a bad Margaritas you're concerned about I'm told the ones at Don Poncho's are very good. I don't drink them so wouldn't know.

Skeeter, I would have figured if anyone knew about a Watermelon Roast, it would be good ole partying country girls, Pam and Skeeter. Before I go into the long details of the Watermelon Roast, I must first test your knowledge. Have you ever been to a submarine race, or at least know what they are? I will await your answer before I continue.

Girls, girls, girls, quit the bickering here. It is a simple thing, just deciding where to eat. I have never seen such useless conversation in my life. Make a decision already! It should not be that difficult to come to a simple conclusion.

Skeeter, are they tattooed so that we will know which one is Flopsy and which one is Mopsy??? I did know this biker chick once that had hers tattooed Sweet and Sour. That is what I heard anyway. I’m sure I had no personal knowledge of this at all. But, that was back in my wild biker days. I would love to tell you stories about those days, but for some strange reason, there are big gaps in my memory from that time period. I don’t know why.

We don't have to go to a club, but I'll fill you in on my idea when we get together. I think they stay open until 3.

So, it sounds like Mexiacan then, Don Ponchos. Is 11 good for everyone in case Stacy can make it or even if she can't?

Adrienne, did you get directions from MapQuest? If you need any, e-mail me. Or maybe I'll call you Wednesday night. Just let me know!

First off, Sandy the Chinese place I'm talking about is the big new one right beside Don Poncho's The China Buffet. It is verr open and has tons of selections plus a Mongolian BBQ for your fresh requests. I was there two days in the last two weeks.

Don Poncho's for lunch at 11:00, count me in. But Sandy don't you think we'll be partying the night away like last time here at our house? Anyone and all who needs to stay over and not drive is welcome to do so. We can make sleeping arrangements if we need to, we have plenty of room.

Ok, now for my other idea. This won't take too long but it is so much fun. Everyone will tell two things about themselves, one has to be the truth and one has to be a lie. We will all try to guess which is which. Fly Boy and I ahve played this and it is a lot of fun and we learn some neat things about each other.

Dragon, sorry but I have never heard of a watermelon roast. I do know about the Submarine races. As for your memory could it be a little something that you were inhaling? And you people talking about nekkid anything in Oct. as cold as it may get? Are members of The Polar Bear club or something?
Adrienne, I don't know why we didn't think before but you could ahve just stayed here at our house instead of paying for a hotel room, duh! I'm sorry I didn't think of it before but anyway if you want to you still could. You could cancel your reservation, it may still be early enough to not lose any money. I realize since Sandy and Daisy are staying there you may still wnat to stay there but zi want you to know you are welcome as well as Daisy and Sandy too if they want. We do ahve the room.

Pam,
Who gets the racecar bed?? Pam, that game sounds like fun. Thanks for the heads up, that will give us time to come up with our two things. Maybe the Saint will even play this game....

B,
Sue Ellen was an alcoholic B!tch... are you calling me a B!tch???

Dragon,
I am Southern as Turnip Greens, Biscuits and gravy but have never heard of the submarine races or watermelon roasting so do tell..No tats here but with the size difference, it is easy to tell which one is Flopsy! LOL...Would you like for me to put on some of those fake tats for you???

Okay Dragon, I will strap on a set of balls here and take charge even though I thought Stacey was designated Pet People Events coordinator!
The plan is:
Lunch at Don Ponchos for a meet and greet with Daisylouu and Adrienne at 11:00 on Friday Nov 9....

Dinner at the VFW (behind the hospital) at 6:00 on Friday night Nov 9, for All You Can Eat schnitzel...

Party at Pam and Flyboys house following dinner.... Say 7:00 ish.... Bring your own bottle is the norm and anything else you would like to share. I will be making two more pecan pies! There will be Karaoke singing, fun and games with new memories made by all...

Show up to whatever you’re little hearts desire!
Okay, how does that sound???

Thanks for the invite Pam, But I think the hotel will be good for this trip.

Yes, we will come back to the hotel at some point, since it's all reserved and paid for. Daisy's not a big drinker, so she can drive or we'll get a ride to Pams with someone and get a taxi back! It's not far!

Skeeter, you go the plan. Adrienne, call my house Thursday night when you arrive letting us know you made it ok and then we'll pick you up about 10:30 for lunch at Don Ponchos, THEN we'll go around town to some places and then dinner at 6 where we'll meet up with everyone!

So, any non posting pet people--join us for lunch and or dinner!

Ah, the Watermelon Roast. We did it several times back when I was a teenager. But, don’t worry, we only set the forest on fire once, and we got it under control in a couple of days. No animals were harmed in the making of this Watermelon Roast.

To begin with, you gather together a group of “couples” to go out into the woods or the pasture and have a big bonfire and have a good time. We would take a watermelon with us, and a bottle of PGA (pure grain alcohol). You take a plug out of the watermelon, pour in the PGA, and replace the plug. The plug should go back in very, very snuggly. Then, you take the watermelon and put it in the bonfire. You are sitting in the glow of the fire, cuddled up with your squeeze of the moment, and KA-BOOM!!!!!!!! Flames and explosion! Chaos erupts in the midst of your bonfire. The ear shattering explosion and the bright flames frighten the fairer of the sexes, sending them running into the woods for cover. What else can the manly men do, except rush after them to comfort and protect them? You know nothing about the explosion, or what happened, and you (the manly man) are also frightened. But together, you will be safe. The frightened waif is so overwhelmed; she throws herself at you—her Knight in Shining Armor. What a happy ending to this fairy tale.

Skeeter, if you need more information on planning your own Watermelon Roast, please send me an email. I don’t want to get into more detail here; this is a family blog after all.

Oh my gosh! You got me at PGA. I have not heard that term in years! We use to do PGA and Creature Cooler! Do you remember that? I have never heard of watermelon roasting but this gal is a bit more smarter then that, besides I would be fascinated at the flames and would probably be staring into them for the glow and not running into the woods like some silly damsel in distress…And, It dont take a watermelon for my man to get me into the woods! LOL

I have heard of spiking a watermelon. I have never tried spiking it but it sounds interesting.

Okay now we all know about watermelon roast. What about the Submarine races??? We all live in a yellow submarine…..

I'll have you know Skeeter that the title of B*tch is considered a complement in my house--just ask Lucy LOL.

We will be LATE for the VFW--may have to just meet you guys at Pams. We won't even get home til after 6 and I have to feed and run the kids before we can go anywhere. So I guess I better just go ahead and say we'll see you at Pam's.
Do we have directions to the Flyboy Homestead?

Skeeter, I may be the official Pet People Event Coordinator, but I told everyone when Daisy picked this week to come that I was going to be covered up with veterans activities. My WIMSA trip, the two Veterans Day Parades, and the Marine Corps Birthday Ball that I have going on this weekend were on my calendar LONG before this gathering, so this was not my event to coordinate. I will be there Friday night, but for how late I don't know. It is looking like I will have to be downtown prepping for our pre-parade ceremonies at 7:00 am on Saturday. Lunch Friday I won't know until the time comes. But, after today, I wouldn't bet on it. We'll see what happens.

Ah, Stacey, you dont have that much going on. Why not add a few more projects in between those mentioned above... Ha ha,, I knew you were busy, I was just kind of getting a kick out of how this planning was becoming a big ordeal like Dragon said, just make a plan! Since you are normally events coordinator, I had to poke at you... Hope your trip went well and you had lots of time to check everything out... did you see the Marine museum from I-95??? It is impressive! See ya Soon!
