TV Time by Skeeter
This morning our girls had an extra special treat. They were doing their favorite thing in the whole world, watching TV. The Saint and I compare their outdoor viewing as us watching TV. It seems to be just as enjoyable to them as it is to us. This morning two doe and two baby deer (spots gone) decided to come right up to the back door and indulge on the tiny acorns that our Willow Oak dropped to the ground. The deer don’t usually go to this part of the yard. We believe the hard freeze at Easter took lots of their natural food in the wild from them. So now they come closer to the house when grazing. I personally hope they eat all the acorns as they are a pain in the butt with the lawn mower and leaf removal. The girls and I had a good time watching our backyard TV this morning and as you can see this one doe in particular was enjoying her TV watching of us as well....

I LOVE that picture Skeeter! The sillouettes of the cat look so sinister, like they are mighty lion hunters in the wild stalking their innocent little prey before the big pounce! The frame of the window is perfect too, with the deer perfectly in the pane. Great!
Yes, our cats also love to watch TV! That's why I put the bird feeder by the window and why I have to keep cleaning the nose smudges off of it.
I think a great caption for that photo:
(cat on the left) I think we can take that big dog...
(cat on the right) Naw, he wouldn't fit in the dinner dish...
Sandy, I had to snap a lot of pictures to capture that pose! The Doe looked at us then went about her eating. They know we will not hurt them.
That is a funny thing you say Pearcehart but so true in the big cat world! I tell you, our yard is like Wild Kingdom at times....
It was sad to see so many dead deer laying on the roadside on our trip to VA. We saw at least 10 if not more... I lost count, was really sad to see them....
There are so many dead deer here b/c there are too many people and not enough space for the animals. It's amazing that we have any wildlife at all here.
Skeeter, what a great photo and Alice I love your caption for it! I love doing that sort of thing.
