One of the ways your pets make you feel great is the way they greet you when you come home. Zoe is a big whiner when she's excited. That means she whines when she knows she's going bye-bye and when we come home. She carries on the most when she knows she's going somewhere. If someone only heard her, they'd think we were torturing her the way she WHINES. Really, it can get on your nerves.
My second video is all three dogs greeting Daddy upon his arrival home from work. When I looked at the video on my camera, the lighting was good, but after it's posted, it seems much darker. Is there anything one can do about that? This whole video thing is new to me, so thanks for bearing with me in my feeble attempts! I promise as I practice I'll get better action!
How do your pets greet you? Wet kisses? Barks? A wag of the tail? Nothing is better, especially if you've had a bad day. I can tell what kind of day The Boss has had just by the way he greets the mutts.Or answers the phone. I think we women are much better at reading body language, voice inflections and other unspoken signals from both people and pets, don't you think?

Sandy, It looks lighter on the camera b/c the camera has back lighting so you can see it while you are filming it. Just make sure that you have lights on while you're filming.
I played your video and it got my dogs all riled up. They wanted to know who was dying.LOL!!

I can feel the wind in my face from the wagging of those tails! How adorable and sweet. Isn't is heart warming that they get so excited, happy, just head over heels when we merely walk thru a door. How can a person NOT loves dogs? A dogs unconditional love amazes me.
My Rocky greets us in somewhat of a similar fashion. He has the typical Chewbacca noises that many boxers do so he gives us loud Chewy greetings and the long "Rooos" with his mouth in the shape of an "O". He also has springs in his feet and jumps higher than my head until I stoop down and give him a good rubbing. He has more energy that we know what to do with most days.
That was a cute video and worked our really well Sandy! My dogs don't whine or anything, they just gather around. My little dog lays on the back of the couch so he can watch out the window for us. He lays here only when we are gone.
My big dog BJ is always happy to see us. About 4 years ago he began having seizures. The excitment of us coming home after we have been gone for a while is too much and sometimes puts him in a seizure. It is so heartbreaking. We are careful not to get him too excited but sometimes it still happens. CeCe just wags her tail and jumps in.
That video is why I wanted a dog instead of cats as a pet when our Skeeter passed over the Rainbow Bridge! The love those furry things pass on is wonderful. I can see myself being slobbered on with big wet noses and kisses on a daily basis with a dog. But God sent us our two furry kitty girls from the woods and no dog! Oh well, maybe one day we will have room in our house for cats and dogs... Until then we will continue to get our quiet greetings from the cats. They do greet us when we come home but the excitement is nothing like a dogs.....
Sheba meets daddy with excitement at the front door each day after work. He and Sheba have this little game of running to the fridge to share a cold hotdog (YUCK) I tell the Saint that she only loves him for his weenie! LOL...
I hadto give my amazing cat Tucker to my daaughter when I moved into my apartment because I also had a little dog named T-Boo that I have had since she was a few months old. I could only have one. I miss Tucker every day. He was such a lover. He used to sit with me while I read just like a child and pust one paw across my chest and snuggled.
t-Boo greets me with great excittement and also is looking to slip past me and go outside. She isn't sllowed to run loose here so I have to grab the leash and take her out. She loves riding in the car and if she gets away fom me, I just get in the car and start driving around the complex and she comes running to go "car-car". She sleeps with me too, her little head on the pillow beside me.
If I snore too loud she paws me awake!
