Happy Birthday DAISY!

Back on the first day of 1965, I no longer was the center of the known universe, as my little sis Kathy, aka Daisy, was born into the world. Mom gave me an important job then, making me Mother's "little helper" at the tender age of 4 so I wouldn't suffocate the new baby with a pillow or anything.

Dad was upset she wasn't born a day sooner, as he would have had the extra tax deduction for 1964! Lots of holiday birthdays in our family. Daisy's daughter Jes was born on Halloween, my Mom on Veteran's Day and my Dad almost made Christmas at Dec 23.

Daisy was a much cuter child than I was, as you can see from the photos, and was much sweeter as well. Later, as we grew up, she flew under the radar. I talked back, she kept quiet. I broke in the parents and kept them worrying about my wayward ways, smoothing the path for her activities to be overlooked, even though they were similar to mine! I must say though, I started very late with the boys, while she had them hooked as early as kindergarten.

Thanks, sis, for letting me wear your clothes and passing on messages to Mom that I was staying out after you got your own phone in your room!

She was my little "Monkey Face" and despite our battles we had loads of fun too! Of course, I was always in charge as the older, wiser one!

We came from a family of animal lovers, which made us the Pet People we are today!

Since my bosses might read this sis, I would like to make it clear that I taught you how to inhale tobacco smoke, not Clinton smoke! LOL.
