He once was at Animal Control

Amy (k9rescue) sent me this video of her friend Tina's dog, Toby,a Saint Bernard who was adopted from Montgomery County Animal Control. Tina is a HUGE animal lover and has many pets, many who've had terrible lives before being rescued.

Now that we can upload video here, we need to do more of it! We can have our very own YouTube for Pet People! Most digital cameras have video capability and it's easy to do.

My first few videos weren't that thrilling, but one of these days I'll capture something great!

So please post your videos or email them to me to post.

Still no new modem. Today was day three of the three to five day delivery promise. So, no Internet access at home.

Lord, it's like watching Lucy knock the loaf of bread off the top of the counter and devouring it. Same method-different pup. That dog is BEAUTIFUL!!

So Funny! Stella does the same thing, circleing first. Must be a St. thing. I love how even his markings are on his face. He's beautiful! At least he's to heavy to try and get all the way up on the table. When Stella stands up on something, she hops waiting for someone to come pick her butt up. LOL!

It's challenging trying to out-think our smart furry friends. Having a new doggie in the house and such a little mischievous stinker really makes me look at things again to see how I can Niki-proof them. She's a chewer so I have to give her lots of safe things to chew... meaning not my rugs and slippers. We got a Kong for her and she likes it... well.. she likes the treats inside.

Max update. Vet has confirmed that Max has diabetes. He also has a UTI (urinary tract infection )which is not unusual for diabetic dogs, and another infection that could be the result of a tick bite or autoimmune. We are starting him on the diabetic dog food and two different antibiotics. Next week we'll see the vet again to discuss insulin. Luckily (?) I am a diabetic as well, so I am comfortable with injections and blood testing.

Thankfully, there was no indication of a struvite recurrence.

That is a funny video and a beautiful fur baby!

The Saint mentions often how he would like to install a hidden camera to catch what all the girls get into when we are not looking. I just know they never get on top of the countertops in the kitchen. Yeh Right!

Alice, sorry to hear about your Max baby. But now you know what is going on and you can deal with it in the proper manner. The unknown is the scary part…. And yep, those little ones do keep one on their toes! I am still recovering from Minnie's visit!
