Pugsley the Trooper Update

Remember I posted about the little pug mix at Precious Friends, Pugsley, the little trooper who needed surgery on his leg? You all were so generous in offering to send donations for the cost.

Well, a Trooper he is! And that seems to be his new name. He went through the operation and is recovering nicely. He will be featured as Pet of the Week for Precious Friends next Wednesday in the Community section. Hopefully, someone will want to adopt this sweet little guy right NOW!

Precious Friends says about him: He is a 2-year-old pug/Chihuahua mix who is very loving and who loves to play and run. Right now he is recovering from surgery he had on his right hind leg because of an unknown injury, maybe being hit by a car. But he is doing very well and available for adoption. His adoption fee is $100.00,with $50.00 returned upon having him neuterd.

I also have a happy update for Charlie, the dog of Hot Tub Matt! I will tell you all about that next time!

Thanks for the great news about little Trooper! And thanks to all who helped with the donations!
Sandy, I would like to withdraw my invitation to Matt to the hot tub party! I don't think he fits in with our animal loving group, how about the rest of you guys?

Matt is young and not as wise as us, but he learned a good lesson which I think is a good thing, because now he understnads about rescue issues and all that, which will make him a better pet owner in the future. So it happened for a reason. And I already gave him all the speeches which he can now pass on to others in his life.

And I'm hoping he'll start posting here with us, so be nice! :)

Where have you been Pam? And where's your friend?

Pam, you took the words right out of my mouth! We do think a like girl... I was going to suggest we remove the “Hot Tub” from Hot Tub Matt and just refer to him as Matt... I do hope he has learned a lesson Sandy but at this point, until I hear from his words and not yours, he is not invited into my hot tub party.... Sorry but the way I feel. With all the knowledge out there today, no excuse for his actions.... Okay Matt, join the chat and redeem yourself!

I am happy to see little Trooper is on his way to recovery! That was money well spent!

Okay, I am entertaining the In-Laws for a few days and I missed so much here....
I go reading back blogs and am so upset by one in particular…. The POEM!

I stick my tongue down the Dragons throat and all I got was a salty pink margarita taste in my mouth! Then see where O’Malley gets a poem written by the Dragon! I want to know what O’Malley did to deserve a poem??? Did I miss a Pet People Party in the last two weeks or what? LOL…

Ummm.....well, let's see. Skeeter, when you and the Saint were cleaning your room at Cats-R-Us, Dragon and Shannon O'Malley were in the back room supposedly washing pans and "stuff". I seem to recall a low cut blouse and lots of bending over. You draw your own conclusions, Skeeter dear.

Just wanted to let you Pet People folks know that we (Clarksville Humane Society) is paying for the balance of Trooper's surgery. Precious Friends said they were able to collect all but $100 from private donors, so we'll cover the rest. Thanks for posting about him... online networking is how things get accomplished in the rescue world!

If I didn't have three dogs already, I'd adopt Trooper and that ADORABLE beagle basset dogs Joy that Inge has. I LOVE short legged dogs and Joy has those, PLUS has the sweet always-a-puppy looking face like my Little Man Peanut!

The lab that had puppies mentioned with Inge's story had 10 puppies, but one died. The pups will eventually go to Precious Friends. Inge has been running ragged lately! I don't know how she does it. Or Suzanne and Greta either.

Stacey! You cut me to the bone!,
I must defend mine and Dragons innocence and hard work. I am still pretty blind from my PRK but I will try. Did I have on a low cut blouse???? I truly don't remember. I promise when Dragon adn I worked together the only aroma in the air was that of pee drenched litter and sink water that smelled just as foul. I think we actually got stuck with a pretty disgusting job. It was hard to even carry on a conversation because I was afraid the smell would get in my mouth and I would taste it. I think Dragon showed his soft side by writing that wonderful poem because I was having a rough time with my eyes. Now its even worse since ya'll have made me cry. hahah you know I'm kidding. I am still blind folks, I am a prisoner in my own home. I can't see to read, watch tv, and as you can tell, I'm not on the computer much as I am not supposed to be at all. If anyone would like to pick me up and drive me somewhere to drink I will graciously accept. I will be the one with the white cane and large fly looking cataract shades.

Well, I must check the older blogs more often. Here, my dear precious Shannon O’Malley is being attacked by the bitter, jealous wifey-pooh, with no one to defend her honor. O’Malley, you may not remember the blouse you wore, but I sure do. I even remember the button that was missing. Where was the camera when I needed it?? I could have posted them on the blog.

O’Malley and I were very hard workers and were very productive in the cleaning of the cat poop infested containers. We had a gay old time. But, I don’t think my reason for not being able to carry on a conversation was the same as O’Malley’s.

Shannon O’Malley, I am so sorry that you are a prisoner in your own home. But, good news for you. I just happen to be an escape artist, so I think I can help you break out. I have been in some really deep kimshee over the years, and always manage to get out unscathed. I would be thrilled to pick you up anytime. And if you think you need a chaperone to keep yourself honest, I’ll even bring the wifey-pooh. But, really, I think we can manage on our own, don’t you? My calendar is open. I’ll get the babe mobile out and take you for a ride. If wifey-pooh needs to come, well, she can ride in the hatch part. It wouldn’t be too crowded if she lays down the right way.

But, seriously, if you need to get out of the house and go to dinner or something, shoot wifey pooh or I an email. We’ll be glad to Drive Miss O’Malley around town.
