Pet People

Dogfinder, P.I.

Any of you pet people interested in a little investigative work? I'd love to get in touch with the owner of the 2 pit bulls that were rescued in yesterday's fire... to see if they need food, crates, vetting, etc. Check out Saturday's Leaf for the story. That photo of the firefighters carrying the dogs out of the house was SO heartwrenching.

Very sad. I was confused a bit by the article. Was their another dog, a poodle, that didn't make it out? I have to commend the firefighter. I don't know if I would have had the courage to pick up a pitbull and carry it out...you're right, what a picture. What about the person who wrote the article. Would they have any info on where the home owners are staying..or maybe the Red Cross would know?

Try calling or e-mailing my adopted son, reporter Jamie Dexter who wrote the story. He can point you in the right direction!

Good article material Sandy. I have the "in case of Emregency SAVE MY PETS" signs in the front window and the back door. Maybe a blog about prevention? What we might do to help firefighters know we have pets and how many are in the house?

I think that is a good idea B but I think Sandy needs to do a article in the newspaper about pet safety and fires, don't you all agree?
