Snow In Clarksville -- Hawaii Looks Better by Dragon

I guess all this talk about Hawaii and tropical drinks with umbrellas and sandy beaches must have jinxed us. We Clarksvillians woke up this morning to snow! Due to the majority of the bad weather being south towards Nashville, I wasn't able to make it into work this morning. I-24 was a parking lot for hours. But, fortunately for me, wifey pooh did get to work.

This gave me the chance to get out in the snow and romp and play with the varmits. Lucy really loves to play in the snow. She just likes to run around and stick her nose down in the snow. Her old man brother Reb just wanted to stay in the house where it was warm. But, she wasn't lonely. King Feline Evil Demon Devil Cat decided to come out of the Cat House and join in the play.

Most cats don't like snow, but King Feline doesn't mind. He followed us around the yard. Meanwhile, Prince Not So Annoying refused to budge from the warmth of his cozy heated and insulated kitty palace. He sat in the doorway and watched us in the snow like we were crazy.

Skeeter has been bragging about the early spring down in Georgia. But, I'm beginning to think that it is never going to get warm here in Clarksville. So, to Shannon O'Malley, Pam, Skeeter, and Adrienne, and of course to Daisylouu, let's pack those bags and buy those plane tickets. It's off to the warm sandy beaches we go. Hamburgers and hot dogs, here we come.

Don't worry O'Malley and Pam. Wifey pooh will be staying behind to earn money so that I can stay longer in Hawaii, so she can tend to your varmits for you, since I know You Should and Flyboy are still out of pocket. I reckon that means the Saint and the Foreman have to tend to the Georgia and Virginia pets. Tell them I'll send them some great digital pictures.

Well now, if good ole GA is calling for that kind of weather then we don't even need to consider a visit there, Hawaii here we come. Skeeter, I don't think Dragon means to leave anyone out here, it's just he knows the certain ones of us who are the wild and willing and ready to go. I speak on his behalf and say he is willing to invite any and all who want to join us. Am I wrong my brother?

Okay, a retraction here...
The More the Merrier...

I cannot believe that King Feline likes the snow! No cat I know likes the snow. That is funny. I love the picture of Prince NSA peeking out of the cat castle. As if to say, looks a bit cold to me, nice and warm in here, Are you nuts King FEDDC!!!

It was 28 last night and too cold for this time of year in Ga... Burrrr

I emailed to check on our fearless leader this morning, and she just sent one back. So, here is the latest Sandy update:

"I have arisen. :) I will be going to work today. One day, then my two days off! I'll be posting later from work. I appreciate your all carrying on! I don't remember EVER being so sick! I did NOTHING for four days, not even take a shower! That's what I get for making fun of Glen being sick.. I still have a runny nose and cough, but finally feel human again, just a bit weak."

Didn't make it to work yesterday either--24 was a nightmare according to the other Clarksvillian in the office who sat on the highway for four hours and finally got to an exit to turn around and come home.
We had fun with the dogs in the snow. Lucy tried to catch snow balls in her mouth like she does her tennis ball--boy was she surprised--she had this look on her little snow covered face like "you son of a B*tch!" Hines wasn't receptive at first, but after Charlie chased him around the yard a few times, he got into it. Charlie was in HEAVEN--he ran and dug and rolled around in the snow like a little kid. He kept digging into it with his nose--he looked like a coke head with it all over his snout. We had a lot of fun and got a lot of house work done on our unexpected day off. It was a NICE day.
Who needs Hawaii?

If you go to Ohau, I agree, Hawaii is not what it is cracked up to be. I was stationed there for 3 years, and after about 2 weeks, I was ready to leave. However, if you go to the Big Island of Hawaii, or Kaiua, or Maui--then you see the TRUE Hawaii. That is where I would like to go back to someday. But, cheap it is not. I guess that is why Dragon says I have to stay here and work to support his trip. Bummer......

Sandy, that Cat House is SO COZY. It is amazing how nice it is in there. I go out there every morning to feed them before work, and they are toasty like bed bugs. Insulated, heated, pillows and blankets, fresh food and water. They live better than some people.
