The Dragon abandons His Shadow

Well! Dragon and Lady Guinevere have gone off for a four-day tryst and have left Shadow (and the other pets) home with a pet sitter!

This is the first time Dragon will be away from the creature that for some misguided reason, worships the ground he walks on. I think Lady G is so jealous of Shadow that she had to lure him away to keep his attention focused on her.

This is a video I received of Shadow enjoying treats a few weeks back. When she was The cat Tweety, she didn't want any treat I offered. She ate her food just fine, but not treats. I guess she just needed the Dragon, who in many respects has her fooled and eating out of his hand.

Any stories you know of or heard of that illustrates a really special bond between a pet and a person? You know, the kind that goes above and beyond the usual love-them-to-pieces. If so, share. And warn us if we'll need tissues!

Wow, that Shadow has come a long way since leaving the wrath of the "Crazy Lady" (Dragons words not mine Sandy, LOL) My girls are not spoilt at all. When they get treats, they only have three each and they only get them once, maybe twice a day! I see why Shadow likes the Dragon. Endless jar of treats! Now we know what he keeps in his hair.... No fish in pocket, but treats in hair....

Hope Lady Guinevere and Dragon enjoy their little get away but I know they will miss their furry babies....
